Played some halo 3 multiplayer up on one of the big projector screens at school today. Averaged second place out of four, and for now having played Halo 3 yet, and not really having played Halo sense original Halo was out on the PC, and not having really played a console fps sense... no, Gears is third person... sense I can't even remember. Second place is pretty good.
Weapon picking up/swapping/doubling is way improved, the Halo 2 hold-down buttons and fuck around for about ten seconds system was just unacceptable, so this was a major improvement. Switching between your two carried weapons is unnecessarily sluggish, however. Which is a real pain because you switch weapons because you NEED that other weapon, so I'd like it a bit quicker please.
Other than that... fun. Maybe not $60 fun, though. Then again, we played Zanzabar half the time and I really dislike that map for some reason. Bad Halo 2 memories, I guess.

I saw the old score of 710,000... my old best was 750,000 so I know I could do it. It's just that I wanted to really goddamn OWN the motherfucker.
The new high at Pinball Pete's is 994,000. I'm leaving off the numbers I don't remember, but I'm not rounding. I didn't keep track of the time but it took at least two hours. I do wish I had bumped it up a little more, but I'm almost 100% sure the game resets to 0 after 999,999... and I sure as fuck didn't want that. So, yeah. I'm kinda stoked about it.
Ungh... so I get up to the sound of someone in the house when there shouldn't be anyone else here. It was just dad takin' a day off though, so we made some burgers for breakfast. Then I headed off to Blick's for a new sketchbook. They had the lone sketchbook for 10, or the same book bundled with an extra pad of paper for 7. Hmmm... Hmmm.. Hmmm... I bought all three of the $7 combo packs they had.
I get home and see that there was a sale flier in there as well, and it had the date the sale started on it. That reminded me that I had a goddamned doctor's appointment today, and looking at the clock I was 15 mins late already.
Long story short I go to the wrong place twice before I get to the right office, they squirt that shit in my eyes and shine lights in them and I get to drive home with those dumb disposable sunglasses they give you. Now 2 hours and 15 mins later I'm back trying to read that sale flier with my eyes all orange and dilated and blurry.
I could really go for a swirl, soft serve cone right about now (preferably not penis-shaped).
Gin and OJ is so good, most likely because I've been hankerin' for some OJ.
Also, I just learned what was in a fuzzy navel : 3oz Peach Schnapps + 3oz OJ. God, that's disgusting.
My previous favorite potable was I think 2oz Lime juice + 2oz of wiskey + sugar and ice. No way I'm drinking the pre-squeezed stuff, it tastes like some kind of bathroom cleaner.
Also: continue to vote on my shirt. It seems to be doing well and I could really go for the $2000.

I love this show and it's going to be a real series in 2008 along with the mediocre Fat Guy and the fairly entertaining Lucy. Makes me want to watch Dr. Katz... Oh dude, C5 you should do your podcast about the new pilots.
ah, just finished another sketchbook. There was a quote in one of Java's posts that said how much more satisfying drawing and finishing sketchbooks was than playing useless games like HALOMAN 3. Mutilations of video game titles aside it had a good message, and it's made me take time away from useless things and put it into useful, meaningful things. (Ok, I picked up FF XII again, but godamnit that is one awesome game).

Also: Outside says, "thunder: rumble rumble", my intuition says "quit playing so much Pokemon", and that fat fuck in my Composition class that didn't do shit for the final report and cost me an A in that class can go eat hickory smoked horse buttholes (from a cup).

Good things from today:
-Finished up third day straight day of finals. Last one is Sat.
-Bought Pokemon Diamond. 4 hours later: "Whooo! This rocks!"
-Got into that art show thing with both pieces. That was pretty neat.
Bad things:
-I get to my Composition final exam with my half of the final report and my partner... produces nothing. I just wrote a letter saying that I did all the work and he didn't do what I told him to do and then turned it in.
-Hmmm... there was... something... eh, fuck it. It was a fun day. Would have totally sucked without my DS, though. X3

Anyhoo, been studying for ECE210 (pain in the ass circuits class) and drawing. The drawing is wonderful, filling up page after page of stuff I'm so proud of. Nothing fancy, actually a lot if it is silly doodles, but I like them very much.
What else... what else... been watching Futurama, just going through from the start and watching them in order. Wow are the first few ever... weird. The drawings are so much worse and the voice acting is so off.
